Market Search -- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement
for services to be provided at its National Center located in Reston,
VA and the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center located in Laurel, MD.
Services shall include removal and disposal of hazardous and non-
hazardous waste. Contractor shall be required to furnish labor,
equipment materials, containers, and all services necessary to collect,
sort, package, manifest, transport, treat, recycle and dispose of waste
at proper EPA -- permitted facilities, using EPA -- approved methods,
and in accordance with all pertinent State and Federal regulations.
Contractor must be licensed and is required to furnish a Certificate of
Waste Disposal Disposition to the USGS no later than 90 days after
disposal, Generated waste could contain unknown substances and
explosives. Services will require (without additional expense to the
USGS) the maintenance, packaging, shipping and compliance with the
required licenses and permits in accordance with federal and state
codes and local regulations, and DOT and EPA shipping specifications.
Contractor shall be capable of providing emergency response services
and cleanup, on 24-hour basis, with maximum response time of four
hours, 365 days-a-year. The contractor must have a current certificate
of liability insurance, and the amounts of insurance shall not be less
than $1 Million for each person, each occurrence, and property damage
as a total. In addition, all information shall comply with the
emergency planning reporting requirements of Section 302, 304, and 311
of Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) for
pollution prevention and right-to-know information. Firms who believe
they can provide the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Removal Services
are invited to submit an affirmative response to this notice. All such
responses will be evaluated. An affirmative response shall include
literature, brochures, and other information corresponding to the
required item which demonstrates the capability to provide the
services. Interested firms are requested to respond within 15 days.
This notice is for informational purposes only. Request for Proposal
