WPAFB intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Univ of WA, Seattle WA to provide academic training in the areas of GROUND SAFETY MGT and SYSTEMS SAFETY MGT. The purpose of GROUND SAFETY course is to provide safety mgt methodologies/techniques in safety/related academic subj to enhance student ability to manage ground safety programs. Course shall emphasize leadership, innovative safety mgt concepts, strategic planning and risk mgt. Course at under- grad level requiring 72 hrs classroom instruction. SYSTEM SAFETY MGT course shall provide students with know- ledge to apply system safety mgt/eng techniques over a systems life cycle. Curricula shall include software safety, human factors, biomedical and facility system safety. Course shall be undergraduate level with 60 hours of clasroom instruction.
