The work of this project consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 40,000 cubic yards of material from the 15 foot channel, and 15 foot basin and anchorage in the Harbor of Refuge at Block Island, Rhode Island. Material removed will be disposed at a near-shore area in water depths of up to 15' below Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The work will be performed by mechanical dredging equipment and scows. The disposal area is located less that one mile from the dredging area. This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The estimated cost of this work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 75 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Prospective bidders, subcontractors and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitation.
