R -- MANAGED CARE PLANS AFFILIATED WITH COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS SOL HRSA-00-BPHC-0004 DUE 112499 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the New York Academy of Medicine, 1216 Fifth Avenue, New York, New York, 10029-5293. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to gather information on the managed care plans that are affiliated with Community Health Centers. As a result, technical assistance, training strategies and policies can be developed. The contractor shall: conduct three case studies of Community Health Center sponsored plans and summarize the case findings in reports; revise a survey used in a previous study in order to collect information on changes that have occurred since that survey was implemented; send the survey to 25 Community Health Center sponsored plans and review the survey results; and prepare a draft and final report on the project. The New York Academy of Medicine is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is eleven months.
