has a requirement for services and materials to conduct a Component
Improvement Program (CIP) for the TF30 Series Aircraft Engines.
Services and Materials will be provided on a sole source basis to the
only known source to possess sufficient familiarity with design,
logistic support, and manufacturing data to perform this effort, United
Technologies, Pratt & Whitney, P.O. Box 109600, West Palm Beach, FL
33410-9600. United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney, Government Engines
and Space Propulsion, West Palm Beach, Florida, is the designer,
developer, and manufacturer of the TF30 series engines. The contract
requires specific levels of effort for testing, engineering analysis,
technical services, and reports analyzing safety and readiness
problems, maintaining specification performance, redesign of low
reliability parts, forecasting "wear-out" rates, and developing design
changes and repair procedures. No hardware is required, as
deliverables, although the contractor will provide supplies/material
and equipment required to perform the services. The period of
performance is for 1 year. The anticipated start date is 1 January 2000
