B -- PERFORM ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING OF AIR QUALITY AND ERGONOMIC ASSESSMENT TO INCLUDE SURVEY AND INSPECTION AND ANALYSIS SOL SP041000Q0106 DUE 122199 POC Connie Murphree 804-279-3345 Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform environmental monitoring of air quality in designated office areas as well as an ergonomic assessment to include a survey of the workforce and inspection and analysis of work areas. Perform semi-annual indoor air quality surveys for indoor environmental contaminiants to be idenfified in solicitation. Lab analysis shall be performed by a laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and have successfully participated in the NIOSH Proficiency Analytic Testing (PAT) program for asbestos and other fibers, metals, and organic solvents for each of the last 3 years. Written report shall be provided w/i 45 days. Perform ergonomics program assessment of the type of work tasks performed. Assess the administrative workstation furnishings, evaluate the ease of adjustment, the ease of use, quantity and quality of the workstation illumination, reflective glare, positioning of cabinets, equipment and files, and evaluation of the chairs provided. All surveys to be performed by an American Board of Industrial Hygienist certified industrial hygienist. The contractor shall interpret data from the surveys and conduct a personal inspection and evaluation of at least four typical administrative workstation designs. A report shall be provided for the ergonomic program assessment. All work shall be performed in accordance with practices endorsed by the ACGIH, ASHRAE, DSCR, OSHA, and NIOSH. The solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. Average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates for the preceding 3 years must not exceed $5.0 million.
