C -- OPEN-ENDED MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARCHITECT /ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL RFP 509-15-00 DUE 121399 POC Faye S. Thomas, 706-731-7176; Minnie L. Smith, 706-731-7174 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, is seeking Architect/Engineering (A/E) firms capable of providing professional architectural and engineering services for open-ended single and/or multi-discipline projects, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Disciplines consist of mechanical, electrical, architectural, structural and civil. Delivery or performance shall be made only as authorized by issuance of separate task orders. Interested firms must have working offices within a 50-mile radius of Augusta, Georgia. The following evaluation criteria will be used during the A/E selection process: (1) Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required; (2) Capacity of the firm to perform the work within required time frames; (3) Past performance; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the Project Design Team; (5) Geographic location of the firm's working office; (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials, and using waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; (7) Reputation and standing of the firm and its principal officials with respect to professional performance, general management and cooperation, and; (8) Record of significant claims against the firm because of improper or incomplete architectural and engineering services. All construction drawings must be provided in Autocad format, Release 14. The SIC Code is 8712 with a size standard of $4 million. One or more contracts may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation is issued under the provisions of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (PL 100-656). The resulting contract will include the base year and two option years.
