Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) has released a request for information (RFI) for a high-speed network connecting three Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories: Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM; Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM; and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (together with Sandia National Laboratories' California site) in Livermore, CA. This RFI is intended to accomplish the dual purpose of (a) providing Sandia with information which may assist it in defining its requirements, and (b) enabling Sandia to develop a list of potential sources for a solicitation that is expected to be issued in early CY 2000.
