Design-build contract for replacement/upgrade of existing 50 year old high pressure and high temperature ASME pressure vessel code qualified jet engine inlet ductwork, with newly designed fabricated and welded-in-place ductwork. Very large diameter stainless duct must be installed; some locations are in extremely tight spaces with very difficult welding required. Bid documents are available on or about 2 December 1999. Estimated cost of work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Requests for plans and specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a prime contractor or a subcontractor.
