Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to install ceiling & replace bathroom tab & tile at the USCG Shore-Side Detachment (SSD) Peoria, East Peoria, IL. Remove and dispose of existing suspended ceiling system, including channel-T support system in hallways, UPH bedrooms, SSD office, storage and laundry rooms. Existing ceiling-supported light fixtures shown on drawings to be replaced shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with the specifications. Remove and dispose of existing bathtub units and wall and floor tile in existing UPH Quarters bathrooms, including existing gypsum underlayment at existing ceramic tiled bathroom walls. Furnish and install new prefabricated shower units and associated furnishings and accessories as indicated in Contract Documents. Furnish and install new moisture-resistant gypsum underlayment on existing wall framing system. Furnish and install new ceramic tile wainscoting on exposed wall surfaces as indicated, and new ceramic tile units on exposed floor surfaces, and paint finish remaining new gypsum underlayment which is left exposed above the tile wainscot and the existing ceiling after ceramic wall tile placement. Furnish and install new light fixtures as shown on drawings. Upon completion of related work items as specified, restore all damaged adjacent surfaces/materials to their condition prior to commencement of contract work. Unit Work Item: Dispose of as hazardous materials, including compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and ordinances concerning removal, handling, and protection against exposure and environmental pollution, such Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) as may be found in the UPH bathroom floor ceramic tile setting beds, and wall ceramic tile backing material and adhesive mastic. Estimated Quantities of ACM to be removed (for bid purposes only, final determination of quantities shall be made by the U.S. Coast Guard upon receipt of the Asbestos Inspection Report): a. UPH Bathroom walls: 1700 sq. ft. b. UPH Bathroom floors: 350 sq. ft. The SIC code assigned to this project is 1522. Estimated range of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
