Provide all materials, labor, and equipment to replace 4 timber fender. Demolish and remove four (4) damaged, creosote-treated timber fender piles, several spacer blocks, and galvanized steel ladder located at the U.S. Coast Guard moorings at Station Juneau, Alaska. Provide and install four(4) new treated timber fender piles in the same positions as the demolished piles. Secure the new piles to the existing pier deck and install new spacer blocks between the piles. Fabricate and install new galvanized steel ladder at face of pier. The actual performance period shall be coordinated with the Contracting Officer. However, all work must be completed prior to February 25, 2000. The estimated cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The work required by this solicitation is identified as Industry Standard 1629 and the applicable size standard is $17.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. Request for Quotation packages must be received in this office by close of business 30 November 1999. This procurement is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, as implemented by the OFPP Policy Directive and Test Plan dated 8/31/89. This is NOT a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for quote, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee of the quote amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term LendingProgram (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
