Christine DeFinis, cdefinis@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC
currently has a requirement for production quantities of the 84mm High

The HEDP 502 round must have the capability to defeat field/urban
fortifications, earth and timber bunkers, and standard construction
buildings. The round must be capable of being rigged for airborne and
submersible operations in accordance with existing service procedures.
The round must be sufficiently rigged to remain safe, operational, and
effective following exposure to the rigors normally associated with
military operations, including air delivery and salt water submersion.
The round must meet U.S. safety and performance requirements. The HEDP
502 rounds will be procured as an increase to the Option I quantity and
as an addition of Options II and III. A total quantity of 9,800 rounds
will be procured, with an Option I quantity of 5,200; an Option II
quantity of 2,300; and an Option III quantity of 2,300. Delivery for
each option shall be one year after the option is exercised.
TACOM-ARDEC contemplates this action based on Other Than Full and Open
Competition based on the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as

s minimum needs can only be satisfied by the unique supplies available
