OFFERORS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE RFP
SOLICITATION AND AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO
MONITOR THE INTERNET SITE FOR THE RELEASE OF THIS SOLICITATION AND
AMENDMENTS, IF ANY. The HIV and AIDS Malignancy Branch (HAMB), Division
of Clinical Science (DCS), National Cancer Institute (NCI), is seeking
qualified offerors to perform neuropsychological testing for children
and adults with chronic medical illnesses such as cancer and Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. This will be accomplished
through the use of structured standardized assessments and clinical
observations. It is anticipated that each year there will be 15-25 new
pediatric and 10-15 new adult patients to be evaluated, in addition to
the 99 pediatric and 9 adult patients currently enrolled. Each patient
shall be evaluated with a comprehensive evaluation at baseline, which
shall be repeated annually and/or at the end of the treatment period.
In addition, partial monitoring assessments shall be administered. The
contractor shall provide comprehensive, state- of-the-art
neuropsychological and behavioral evaluations of pediatric and adult
NCI patients with cancer or HIV infection. The nature of the
acquisition requires that the contractor have (or provide evidence they
can establish prior to contract award) the ability to provide the
requested service within 24 hours. The offeror must perform most
required assessments and other work at the Clinical Center, National
Institutes of Health (NIH) Bethesda, Maryland. Patients will typically
be available only for brief inpatient or outpatient stays and
assessments or tests must be accomplished within a 24-hour time frame.
This procurement represents a recompetition of NO1-SC-71102, the same
project being performed by the Medical Illness Counseling Center. The
RFP N01-SC-07006-30 will be issued approximately 20 days after
publication of this notice. Proposals will be due approximately 45 days
after the issue date. No collect calls will be accepted. Posted
