Bechtel BWXT Idaho, LLC (BBWI), the operating and management contractor
for the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering
and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) is seeking information in order to
identify suppliers that can deliver Vapor Vacuum Extraction with
Treatment (VVET) systems to the INEEL. The systems must be capable of
both the extraction of chlorinated-hydrocarbon vapors from the
subsurface and the subsequent treatment of extracted vapors to a
verifiable Destruction and Removal Efficiency (DRE) of at least 99%.
The VVET system must be able to be operated unmanned for at least 90
continuous hours. In addition, prospective suppliers would be required
to provide onsite direction to INEEL personnel in VVET system setup,
commissioning, and systems operability (SO) testing as well as the
formal training of onsite operators following successful completion of
SO testing. Suppliers of VVET systems classifiable as "incinerators"
pursuant to 40 CFR 260.10 need not respond. This Request for
Information (RFI) will close to response 30 days from date of
publication. This is not an opportunity to provide goods or services to
BBWI or the Department of Energy. Those responding to this RFI must
