The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a modification to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) for the teardown and inspection of engine 940014 under contract N00019-97-C-0114. The efforts will include the disassembely, inspection, and documentation of damage to the extent necessary to determine the labor hours and hardware to rebuild the engine, test and analyze the results. GEAE is the original manufacturer and only known source possessing the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data required to provide F414 support.
