who are capable of redesigning the obsolete components in the
AN/PRC-112 Survival Radio. The new redesigned components must be form,
fit and functionally interchangeable with the old components. Some of
the components in question are as follow: NSNs -- 5821-01-381-3037,
rec mod; 5895-01-381-3068, trans; 5830-01-381-3061, controller,
5962-01-396-2078, series regulator, 6110-01-398-5808, switch reg;
5995-01-378-9147, vco; 5895-01-379-1305, syn; p/n 51-P21332J001, alc.
(This is a sampling provided for your information). The current source
for these items is Motorola, CAGE 94990. The government does not have
any drawings/specifications for any of the items mentioned. Companies
capable of furnishing these redesigned components must so indicate, by
writing to Commander, USACECOM; ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-A-MM (Fenton Yip);
Building 1200E; Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include
documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the
supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed
source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army
with an unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable
with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier shall be
required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform
when used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information
