The National Institute of Standards (NIST) of the Department of Commerce has a follow-on requirement for preventive and remedial maintenance of a Government-owned ALS-200 Waferstep. The contractor shall provide all instrumentation, tools, tool kits, labor, parts and transportation necessary to maintain this equipment at warranty standards. The contract is for a base year (9 months) with (2) one year options. Concerns having the capability to furnish the above services should give written notice within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. In the absence of qualified sources, it is the intent of the Government to award a sole source contract under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) to Ultra Tech Stepper, 5810 Trade Center Drive, Ste. 500, Austin, TX 78744, as this source is considered to be the only responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
