AMI-American Management, Inc. is soliciting bids from qualified firms for the provision of Exterior Renovation Services and including removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials at Woodland City Apts, located at 202 S. Jim Miller Rd., Dallas, TX 75217. All parties interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation must send a written request with $25.00 to AMI. The written request must clearly state whether the offeror intends to bid as a prime or subcontractor. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. The requests may be faxed to (214) 956-7495 or mailed to the AMI address in this notice. However, no solicitation package will be sent out until $25.00 is received. Approximate job size is between $2,500,000 and $3,500,000. Offerors will be required to submit a bid bond with their original bid package. Performance and payment bonds will be required of the winning contractor. AMI will conduct an extensive background check of the low bidder in order to determine that firm's responsibility and will verify past performance history prior to award. A Pre-Bid Conference is tentatively scheduled for December 1, 1999, but all bidders are warned that confirmation of actual measurements and quantities of materials required to complete the work are the sole responsibility of the offeror. AMI shall act as contract administrator, but an independent Architectural and Engineering firm shall perform construction oversight.
