The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, intends to contract with the McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company for the fiscal year (FY) 2001 T-45 Training System (T-45TS). The subject acquisition consists of twelve (12) T-45C "Goshawk" aircraft; structural fatigue life tracking, engine monitoring, engineering support activities, reliability and maintainability program, quality assurance program, engineering investigations and test activities, ancillary equipment; operational and instrument flight trainers, ground training system support, integration and related analysis, spares and repair parts; integrated logistics support activities; technical manuals; and various data requirements. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer and sole integrator of the T-45TS and is the only know source with the experience and technical data necessary to the performance of this effort.
