Armstrong, Contracting Officer, or Amy Wright, Contract Specialist (970) 490-7523 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes, but is not limited to, dis-assembly, cleaning, repainting, repairing and testing of a 90 MVA, 3-winding, single phase transformer with a 230-kV line-to-line primary voltage and 21-kV line-to-line secondary voltage, that failed due to a primary bushing explosion and resulted in a fire at the primary busing location. A new turret complete with current transformers will need to be supplied along with other miscellaneous items. All wiring and flexible conduit require replacement. All loading, unloading and shipping costs shall be borne by the Contractor. The Government will require delivery of the repaired transformer within 180 days after contract award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be issued in hard copy FREE OF CHARGE. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western Procurement officials will be limiting availability of this solicitation. Therefore, only a limited number of copies will be issued on a "first-come, first served" basis. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 30, 1999. The closing date is on or about December 30, 1999. This proposed procurement is unrestricted and will be conducted utilizing commercial procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5.
