(505) 667-7040 E-MAIL: jolynm@lanl.gov, jolynm@lanl.gov. Los Alamos
National Laboratory (LANL) is coordinating a project definition team
for a zero emission coal based hydrogen/electricity generating pilot
plant based on LANL's anaerobic hydrogen process and mineral
carbonation concepts. During Phase I, a period of about six months, the
project definition team will develop a business plan and a technical
plan toward a goal of seeing a pilot plant completed in five years. Our
intent is to collaborate with a number of entities (private and
government) each of whom will be represented on the project definition
team by a leader who has the authority to incur costs of up to U.S.
$50,000. The initial meeting of the project definition team is
scheduled for December 9 and 10, 1999. For more information please
