Under the Authority of 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, the U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, intends to award the Inspection & Testing of 200 Backflow Prevention Devices, Arsenal-at-Large, Picatinny Arsenal, to Professional Services Group, Inc., as a commercial item modification to the current contract DAAE30-96-C-1011. Inspection and testing service shall be done on a quarterly basis to the current Water/Wastewater Plant contract at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Resulting reports of the inspection and testing shall be sent to the State of New Jersey. Inspection and testing procedures for backflow prevention devices are outlined in New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC) 7:10-10.6 and shall be followed accordingly. NJAC 7:10-10.6(b) requires that the inspection and testing shall be conducted by: () an authorized representative of the owner of the facility where the backflow prevention device is installed; (2) in the presence of an authorized representative of the administrative authority and/or the supplier of water; or (3) by a certified tester who holds a valid backflow prevention device tester certificate issued by a certifying agency approved by the Department pursuant to NJAC. This effort has a projected award of the 1st Quarter FY00 and a period of performance of 2 cycles during the last months of the contract 3rd Option Year and 4 cycles during the 4th Option Year.
