FY-01 MCON PROJECT P-341 PIER D REPLACEMENT, NAVAL STATION, BREMERTON, WASHINGTON The Navy plans to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for design-build construction of a 400 meter (1310 ft) long x 46 meter (150 ft) wide pier and necessary utilities (both on the pier and shoreside) to support the homeporting of a CVN class aircraft carrier, and AOEs, at Naval Station Bremerton. The Navy plans to advertise the RFP in the summer of 2000, with the intent to award late fall 2000. Project completion is scheduled for fall 2002. This information is provided for planning purposes to interested parties. Construction award is subject to appropriation of funds by Congress.
