This procurement is for the solicitation of a Two-Phase Design-Build firm fixed price contract for the construction of two 6 story BEQs with reinforced masonry bearing walls with exterior brick veneer, glazed curtain wall system, reinforced cast-in-place concrete floor slabs, pre-finished stainless steel standing seam roof system over plywood and metal decking supported by open web steel joist and steel framing all supported by grade beams and a pile foundation system, interior finishes, electric traction elevators, sinks, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, piling, pile load test, demolition of 4 buildings, asbestos abatement and all associated work at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. Project P-508 is completely designed, requiring no additional design effort. Project P-504, is an almost identical BEQ to Project P-508. The awarded contractor will be required to utilize the CADD drawings from P-508 to provide the P-504 design drawings, in accordance with the P-504 program requirements. The completed design of Project P-504 will be required after contract award. This work includes demolition, asbestos abatement, construction of a ball field with restroom building, ball field lighting and fencing and changing aboveground steam lines to underground steam lines and all incidental related work.
