Contracting officer, marsoccihj@npt.nuwc.navy.mil. "Brand Name or
Equal" -- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center plans to award a five year
Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for an estimated
maximum quantity of 750 Huntron ProTrack 1 Model 20 analog signature
analysis test equipment with Scanner 1 and Carrying Case. The DoD
currently utilizes the Huntron Tracker 5100DS Tester. Diagnostic repair
routines (Gold Disks) developed with the 5100DS support the analysis
and repair of approximately 4,500 circuit card assemblies (CCA's).
Huntron will soon stop production of the Tracker 5100DS. The Huntron
ProTrack 1 Model 20 is the modern replacement for the Tracker 5100DS.
It is imperative that any test set proposed must be 100% backward
compatible with the current Gold Disk library and have expanded testing
ranges and capabilities for newer components. Conformity to existing
curriculum and test equipment compatibility with existing operational
software is necessary. Tester must be compatible with existing
AN/USM-646(V)/658(V)/674(V) configurations and Module Test & Repair
Windows Suite (ver 2.1) software. Diagnostic routines developed for a
new tester must be downward compatible with the current configuration
to ensure all deployed test stations are capable of testing all CCA's
and electronic modules (EM's) for which Gold Disks have been developed
or which may be developed. A more detailed description of minimum
technical requirements which the proposed tester must meet will be
specified in the solicitation document. The following factors shall be
used to evaluate offers: (1) Technical capability of the item offered
to meet the Government's requirements, (2) Price, and (3) Past
Performance. Our department no longer issues solicitations or
amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site
http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic
access in our Bid Room. Estimated RFP release date: 01-10-00; SIC Code:
