R -- ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR THE THEATER BALLISTIC MISSILE SOL N68936-00-R-0022 DUE 011800 POC Joanne Shepter, Contract Specialist, (760) 939-7651, Dell Hledik, Contracting Officer, (760) 939-3772 The Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations, on an other than full and open comptetion basis with Millenium Engineering and Integration (MEI), Crystal City, VA for engineering and technical services in support of the Theater Ballistics Missile Defense Project. The contractor will work with the Navy Theater Wide (NTW) program on the Risk Reduction Activities (RRA)in developing Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Kinetic Warhead technologies for future NTW deployments. The contractor will have responsibility for integrating RRA activities among Navy field organizations and industry. The contractor will be required to complete integration of recent NTW hover and sensor captive carry testing, both of which are included as key technology demonstrations. The contractor will be required to develop requirements for Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) to support the NTW system. The contractor will support AEGIS LEAP (ALI) program planning, integration and testing across all activities within the Navy Theater Wide program to ensure development of an integrated and efficient program. The contractor will support the execution of Block Upgrade engineering trade studies for the STANDARD Missile Block Upgrade. The contractor shall assess the ALI and Block upgrade mission differences and develop testing methods to ensure the hardware and software perform as required.
