The U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe Center, is seeking contractor expertise with Smart Card systems, specifically in the area of Transit Parking Electronic Payment System Guidelines and Specifications, Module 4. The intent of this module will be to define potential partnership opportunities between transit-parking payment programs. This initiative will define specific program linkages and requirements (institutional, organization, technological) for an integrated transit-parking smart card program. Interested parties shall submit a minimum of 2 pages but not more than 5 pages of documentation stating your experience and knowledge in the following areas: transit fare collection systems, all aspects of parking fee payment/collections systems, including off-street, garage, metered, municipal/private parking, airport parking and smart card technology, demonstrated experience in back-end processingof electronic payment systems including clearinghouse, data settlement and other system integration issues.
