This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The contractor shall establish and operate a catering concession. This will be a full-service catering operation at Fort MacArthur Community Center to authorized patrons. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide catering services and a bar operation. The catering services include food, services, and entertainment. The prices will be competitive with caterers in the area proving like items. The contractor will obtain all permits; give all necessary notices; pay all fees and taxes; and comply with all municipal, prefectural, and national laws. The contracting company will also abide by the rules, ordinances, and regulations, and any publication published by the military relating to public health and applicable to provide catering services. The contractor must provide products and services of quality acceptable to the Nonappropriated Funds Instrumentalities (NAFI) manager. Prospective bidders will open the attached Statement of Work (SOW) to be more familiar with the requirements. An Industry Day is planned for 29 November 1999, Monday, 9:00 am to noon, in the Patio Room, Bldg 403, Community Center, Ft MacArthur, San Pedro, California.
