NAVICP-Mechanicsburg plans to establish a five-year firm-fixed price (FFP) Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) contract for the Advanced Seal Delivery System (ASDS) with Northrop Grumman Corporation for the full range of repair and replacement spares. Northrop Grumman shall function as the Government's Commercial Stock Point for these spares in support of domestic requirements including the performance of all routine inventory management functions including receiving, shipping, tracking, warehousing, reporting & scheduling. The goal is to reduce inventory investment dollars while improving response times and simultaneously reducing overall support costs. Each installed ASDS shall be FFP's per year for each of the base years of the contract running to approximately September 2004. An additional three one-year options may be exercised.
