The U.S. Army CECOM Acquisition Center at Fort Monmouth, NJ is seeking potential sources for development of a PPS GPS RAWIN System and Associated Radiosondes for use in the METEOROLOGICAL MEASURING SET (MMS), AN/TMQ-41. The system sought will be capable of obtaining wind velocity from a radiosonde/rawin ground receiver using PPS GPS signals. The system is intended to be installed in the METEOROLOGICAL MEASURING SET (MMS) AN/TMQ-41. The radiosonde will transmit data to the ground in a frequency band between 100-406MHz. It will measure temperature, pressure, and humidity from surface to 30km. Wind accuracy shall be less than two knots vector error. The ground system shall process the data and output the suite of artillery meteorological message as well as the WMO message to the communication computer in the MMS.
