GORE-TEX Outerwear Reversible Rainsuits, Day/Night Desert Suit for
which the Government intends to solicitate and negotiate with only one
source under authority of FAR 6.302. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; no written solicitation will be issued. An example
of the GORE-TEX Outerwear Reversible Rainsuits can be found in the
U.S. Cavalry 1999 Fall Catalog on page 83. The GORE-TEX Outerwear
Reversible Rainsuits, Day/Night Desert Suit to be purchased are:
"Parka" AH 4948 (5 each -- Small/Regular; 205 each -- Medium/Regular;
205 each -- Large/Regular; 75 each -- X-Large/Regular; 30 each --
XX-Large/Regular); "Trousers" AH 4949 (5 each -- Small/Regular; 205
each -- Medium/Regular; 205 each -- Large/Regular; 75 each --
X-Large/Regular; 30 each -- XX-Large/Regular). Parka features shall
include zipper closure, double strom flap with rank tab, adjustable
cuffs, tie-down hood strap to conceal opposite camouflage and
cobra-style hood. Trouser features shall include draw-string waist,
zipper closure access pockets, each stashing away in its own pocket.
This action is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The provisions
at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial; 52.212-3,
Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items apply to
this requirement; DFARS 252.212.7000, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items, DFARS 252.204.7004, Required
Central Contractor Registration apply to this requirement. The clauses
at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items;
52.212-5 (Dev), Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items; DFARS 252.212.7001
(Dev), Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or
Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial
Items apply to this requirement. Contractor shall deliver rainsuits no
later than 15 January 2000 to Fort Bragg, N.C. Copies of all
provisions/clauses will be furnished upon receipt of a written request.
Award will be made on the basis of low responsive, responsible bidder
offering the above items. Offerors who can furnish the required items,
may submit, in writing, to include pricing (FOB Destination). All
responses shall be received within 15 calendar days of the date of this
CBD notice, and shall include DUNS, Tax ID, and CAGE Codes. All
responses from responsible sources submitting the required information
will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this
synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the
action may be awarded on a competitive basis under Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. No additional synopsis will be published.
Failure to provide adequate information to reflect compliance with the
specifications of the required items herein will result in
disqualification. Request for a solicitation will be considered
nonresponsive. Responses are to be delivered to HQ, USASOC, ATTN: AOCO
(Contracting Office), Fort Bragg, NC 28310 not later than 10 December
