SPAWARSYSCEN San Diego intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price type contract to Construction Electronics, Inc., 1100 N. Magnolia Avenue, Suite A, El Cajon, CA 92020-1953, for hardware and software maintenance of the Westinghouse Access Control System and associated equipment, on a sole source basis. This requirement is a follow-on to existing Purchase Order N66001-99-M-L084, estimated to be for (1) base year period with (4) one year options, commencing January 1, 2000. Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, this procurement shall be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by December 13, 1999 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
