The project work consists of removing shoals along the Entrance Channel Cut-1N from Station 100+00 to Station 220+00. The Entrance Channel will be dredged to a required depth of 49 feet plus 2-foot allowable overdepth. Total quantity to be dredged is approximately 300,000 cubic yards. All dredged material will be placed in the designated north beach disposal area, D/A-B, located approximately 4 miles from the project site. Hopper dredges will not be allowed for this contract, as construction will be performed during the summer months. In addition to the standard dredging equipment, front-end loader and dozers will be required to perform subject work. Magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
