R -- DENTAL SERVICES TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTING HRSA'S ORAL HEALTH INITIATIVE SOL HRSA-00-OFO-0001 DUE 120699 POC Aileen Broider-301-443-5231 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Dr. Robin M. Lawrence, 15 Beach Street, Cohasset, MA 02025-1421. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to secure the services of a dental expert to assist in implementing HRSA's Oral Health Initiative in the Northeast Field Cluster. The contractor shall: serve as the oral health representative for all HRSA programs in the Boston Field Office; identify targeted areas of severe unmet need for clinical oral health services in each of the 6 New England States and assist in recruiting experienced clinicians to provide leadership in the targeted areas; provide leadership in the assessment, inventory and evaluation of oral health needs of New England States' HRSA and non-HRSA Federally funded and non-Federally funded oral health programs; and develop plans and programs to foster efficient dental delivery systems through mechanisms such as clinical networks, mentoring, quality improvement activities, tactical workgroups, and continuing education opportunities within Region I. Dr. Robin Lawrence is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is six months.
