CAD/PAD SPARES STORAGE FACILITY, HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UTAH. This
proposed Contract is for competition among approved 8a Firms registered
with the Utah Small Business Administration. JOB DESCRIPTION: This
Project will provide a Cartridge Activated Devices (CAD) and Propellant
Activated Devices (PAD) Spares Storage Facility supporting "just in
time" delivery of spares in support of the Air Force mission. The
programming documentation calls for reinforced concrete tilt-up walls,
foundations, floor slab, structural steel frame and built-up roof,
including associated utilities, site improvements, pavements, asbestos
abatement, and phased demolition of buildings. The facility will be
appropriately landscaped. Project includes excavation, site work,
access and area paving, and HVAC. The project will also include fire
protection and EMCS, and all necessary features (interior and exterior)
to yield a complete and useable facility for its intended use. The
project is located in an explosive storage area -- - access is
controlled. All electronic systems designed and installed must be
Year-2000 and beyond. SIC CODE: The procurement will be conducted under
SIC CODE 1542. The size standard for this SIC CODE is $17,000,000.00.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: This is a design/build project; the offeror
chosen will complete the design and construct the facility. The
acquisition method is negotiated procurement. A technical and cost
proposal will be required. Evaluation by the Government will result in
selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government.
The estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. For

responsible sources may submit a bid or proposal, which will be
