The U.S. Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office intends to acquire one each MH-47E helicopter. All C/MH-47 aircraft have been produced by the Boeing Company, Philadelphia PA. Boeing is the only company possessing the requisite engineering data and tooling necessary to produce an MH-47E. The helicopter shall be acquired in two phases. The first phase shall consist of a contract to acquire long-lead items and a proposal to produce the helicopter.
