following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Cisco Systems
Inc, 170 West Tasman Drive, San Jose CA 95134-1706, under the authority
FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or
services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not
a request for competitive requirements. This procurement is being
conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures Threshold. The
contract will be awarded by oral quotation and the anticipated award
date will be 20 days from the date of this notice. The proposed
contract action is for the renewal of SMARTNET MAINTENANCE Quantity (6)
and CISCO 3640 (1). The contractor shall provide all labor, materials,
parts, tools equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to
repair, complete troubleshooting and problem diagnostic services on
Cisco Equipment, at Bldg 3500, 225 No rth Rosamond Blvd.,Edwards AFB,
CA. NOMENCLATURE: WS-C5500-S3-HD SMARTNET MAINTENANCE QTY (6).
CISCO3640 QTY (1) Period of Performance shall be from the date of award
through 30 Sep 00. The contractor shall provide the following services:
A. Telephone callback within one hour by the Cisco Technical Assistance
Center(TAC)for all hardware, configuration, and software problems. B.
24 hour, 7 day priority 1 and 2 telephone support. C. Critical problem
escalation. D. Electronic mail inquires and responses. E. Software
updates via CCO or media, upon request. F. Registered access to CCO, 24
hours a day, 7 days a week. G. Next business day delivery of advance
replacement parts. H. Unlimited 24 hour telephone support. I. A
hardware Field Support Engineer for troubleshooting and problem
diagnostic services. J. Firmware upgrades upon request. K. Full on-site
Labor Costs. L. Priority Service Status. All responsible sources shall
submit information which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide
this service. This information must be received by the Contracting
Officer within fifteen (15) days of the publication of this
announcement. A determination by th e government not to compete the
proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within
