Center, Tacoma, Washington, requires on-call type services of
Otolaryngologists to perform/assist in otolaryngology procedures
on-site at Madigan. Total number of hours of required service is not
expected to exceed 120 hours per year. Contractor's physicians shall
possess the following qualifications: Current State of Washington
medical license; Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification;
Certification of Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery from
an Accredited Graduate Medical Education Program (ACGME) approved U.S.
facility; board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology-Head and
Neck Surgery (Board Certification is highly desirable); Certification
in a sub-specialty area of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, to
include Otology, Neurology, Head and Neck Surgery, and/or facial
plastic surgery is highly desirable; Graduation from a Liaison
Committee on Medical Education (LCME) from a U.S. or Canadian medical
school or graduation from a foreign medical school listed by the World
Health Organization; Currently affiliated or previously affiliated
with a university, college or other educational institution accredited
for graduate medical education training of residents by the
Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME); prior
staff level academic experience is highly desirable; evidence of
research experience by publication of manuscripts in peer journals,
and/or paper presentations at national meetings; speak, read and write
English fluently and enunciate with sufficient clarity to be
understood my MAMC personnel and patients; posses sufficient
initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity
such that he/she can relate to a variety of patients from diverse
backgrounds; shall not have been convicted of a felony. Services may be
required with very little notice and will be scheduled between the
Contractor and the Chief, ENT, Madigan Army Medical Center. Criminal
history background checks may be required. Contractor Physicians must
be credentialed at Madigan Army Medical Center prior to providing
