12 hours It is desired that a candidate hand held GPS receiver be
currently in production or in the marketplace within the next three
months; have available test data verifying functional and environmental
performance; have supporting commercial literature and published
marketing price list for the receiver and accessories. Any vendor
having an item which meets the technical criteria is invited to submit
the following: system description and performance specifications; test
data verifying functional and environmental performance; reliability
and maintainability data; production lead times and schedules; quantity
produced to date; customers (US and foreign); type and extent of
standard warranty coverage and availability of extended warranty;
supporting commercial literature to include operational technical
manual, repair/service manual, list of required test and maintenance
equipment, and ancillary items required to operate, repair, and support
the proposed system in a world wide tactical military environment. Any
exceptions or deviations to the above technical criteria should also
be identified. All responses must be submitted by 15 December 1999 to
