Financial Management Service (FMS), intends to award a commercial item
sole-source simplified acquisition to Initial Healthcare, Inc.
(formerly Rentakil Environmental Services), 3000 Peyton Street,
Richmond, VA 23228, based on 41 USC 253(1) of one-responsible source.
This requirement will provide for complete environmental services at
the 401 14th Street, SW, Washington DC facility (LCB) and air
fresheners only at the facility at 3700 East West Highway, Hyattsville,
MD (PGMC-II). Services shall include: (1) 29 Sanitact Units placed in
restrooms for the disposal of feminine napkins and tampons, providing
an anti-bacterial aide which kills bacteria and does not require the
use of metal containers which breed germs. The feminine hygiene units
are serviced twice per month; (2) 22 air freshener units at the LCB
facility and 55 units at the PGMC-II facility that don't just cover bad
odors, but works to kill odors by dispensing the right amount of
chemicals. Air fresher units are serviced once per month; (3) 67 toilet
sanitizer units which dispense the right amount of odor killing
chemicals while preventing each bowl from getting a build up of calcium
deposits or uric acids. Direct feed sanitizer units are serviced once
per month. The period of performance for this order will be for a base
year, from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 and one option
year beginning October 1, 2000. No solicitation is available for this
requirement. Responsible sources are invited to identify their interest
and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting supportive
documentation. This documentation must clearly show prior experience
in providing the service detailed above. Any proposals will be
evaluated based on technical acceptability offering the best value to
