The Naval Research Laboratory intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competitive basis with Harris Corporation for an Enhanced Space Multiprocessor, including two space flight qualified units and one brassboard unit. These units must include identical mechanical, electrical and software interfaces as the Solid State Compressive Recorder previously developed by Harris Corporation, and will have 500 MIPS of RISC processor performance and 5.14 GB of memory capacity. Processing will be performed by twenty parallel radiation hardened RH-3000 family processors manufactured into multi-chip modules.
