The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, the Department of Defense medical school, has a requirement for lodging facilities in the vicinity of the Tripler Army Medical Center (AMC) which is located in Hawaii. The rooms will be used to house medical students during their clerkship at the Army Medical Center. The rooms are needed for the period of January 1, 2000 thru December 31, 2000. Lodging facilities must be within walking distance of the Tripler AMC. Contractor must be able to provide seven rooms per month. As a minimum, each suite must have a bedroom with two double beds, nightstand, and a dresser or chest; a sitting room with couch, chair, table with at least two chairs, television/VCR, a microwave and refrigerator (or combination), and a bath. Students will be on rotational assignments. Of the seven suites, one maybe a single occupancy. However, at least six must be of double occupancy. In addition to the above, laundry facilities telephones, insect prevention and control, dailymaid service, at least a weekly change of bed linens, free parking and 24-hour security.
