The Headquarters United States Army Corps of Engineers under the direction of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installation and Environment has a requirement to establish a long term business relationship with private sector developers for the purpose of improving military family housing communities at Fort Lewis, Washington. This requirement is part of the Congressionally mandated Military Housing Privitization Initiative and as such employes commercial practices to meet the Army needs for management, operation and maintenance of Ft. Lewis, Washington. The Army intends to release a Request for Qualification (RFQ) with specific submission requirements for a Developer Selection Evaluation using Best Value Procedures. Pre-RFQ and pre-submission conferences are not intended. Interested developers may contact the Contract Specialist between December 10, 1999 and January 7, 2000 at the e-mail address stated below to express an interest in a site visit. The RFQ will be available to all interested at the website http://rci.army.mil. Copies of the RFQ will NOT be available in other then electronic form on the website. Questions will NOT be responded to in other then electronic medium. Comments and/or questions received after January 10, 2000 will not be considered.
