The NOAA National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service has a requirement for a truck mounted, elevating service tower with personnel work platform. The equipment shall include a two section, hydraulically operated, articulated boom type elevating service tower permanently mounted on a truck. The truck shall be a standard cab model, diesel engine powered, vehicle which shall comply with all applicable ANSI, OSHA, FMVSS, and DOT standards. The tower, when attached to a turntable, shall have three (3) dimensional movement capabilities with the capability of movement in either direction individually or simultaneously. The boom turntable assembly shall be mounted on a separate frame which shall be permanently attached to the truck frame. When fully assembled the tower shall be capable of elevating personnel and equipment to a minimum platform floor height of eighty (80) feet above the ground level. In addition, the tower platform will have a minimum mounting height of twelve (12) inches above ground level. The twelve (12) inch measurement shall be equal at each of the four corners of the platform when measured from a level surface. The tower platform shall also have a minimum horizontal reach of forty-nine (49) feet. The personnel platform size shall be at least 72 inches side to side, 60 inches front to back and 44 inches high. Platform rated weight capacity at any height or position, exclusive of platform weight shall be 700 lbs. minimum. The assembled unit (tower and truck) shall not exceed the following overall dimensions: Length -- 51'-0", Width -- 10'-91/2" and Height -- 12'-4". The equipment is to be delivered to the Command Data Acquisition Station in Wallops, VA. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency.
