The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement to upgrade approximately nineteen (19) F/A-18 APG-65 Weapon Replaceable Assemblies to support the AV-8B Remanufacture Program, or such other quantities as may be authorized and approved by Congress. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00383-98-G-001A with Raytheon Systems Company, PO Box 92426, Los Angeles, CA 90009. Raytheon Systems Company is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the APG-65 radar, and is the only firm possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise, facilities, tooling and special test equipment necessary to upgrade the WRAs in a timely manner.
