The NAVY EXPERIMENTAL DIVING UNIT, Panama City, Fl., requesting assistance to develop, design, install and test a "Closed Loop Refrigeration Cooling System" to provide cooling for two (2) liquid cooled high pressure air compressors. Cooling system must provide adequate cooling for two (2) each RIX model 2JS4B-150, 3000 PSGI/150 SCFA compressors. Cooling system shall provide cooling sufficient to enable one or both compressors to run at manufactures recommended temperatures while maintaining recommended coolant flow rates. Worst case summer / winter ambient temperature and humidity extremes must be considered. Refrigerants identified as ozone-depleting substances will not be utilized. Priority will be given to utilizing "commercial off the shelf" (COTS) system components. Contractor shall define assumptions and provide calculation used as the basis for the design / COTS selection. Technical drawings / manuals containing sufficient details to support operation, maintenance, and logistics support of the system shall be provided as part of the final deliverable.
