This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. Submit offers on RFQ # 002. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The associated Standards Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this procurement is 4932 and the small business size is $5.0. SCHEDULE: The Rocky Mountain Laboratories, Administrative & Facilities Management Section has a requirement for #50,000 gallons of Dyed Diesel #1 to provide diesel fuel for emergency generators if RML loses its main power supply due to Y2K problems. FOB Point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Inside delivery shall be within 24 hours of notification from an RML representative, the contractor shall refill the RML diesel tanks to total storage capacity during the term of the contract.. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items Award will be based on price and the following criteria: (1) The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to supply #1 diesel fuel to Rocky Mountain Laboratories for a period of 4 months, commencing on December 30th, 1999 and ending April 30th, 2000; (2)Response time shall be within 24 hours of notification from a government representative. There are presently two diesel tanks, (1) each #4,000 gallon capacity tank, and (1) each #2,500 gallon capacity tank. The intent of Rocky Mountain Laboratories is to place a refill order at no less than 50% storage capacity. At this time, RML has no estimated delivery schedule.
