OKANOGAN NF SOL RFP-R6-8-00-Q1 POC Kris Bellini, Contracting Officer,
509-826-3072 Professional Architectural/Engineering services are needed
for Okanogan National Forest facilities inspection/design work on
various projects of differing nature and size. Projects may consist of
facilities inspection and report of any deficiencies, the
recommendation for corrections, and a preliminary cost estimate for
required repairs or new construction. Dependent upon the specific
project, additional project work may include design and potential
assistance in project administration. This project work may occur at
various locations, including some remote sites reached by trail, on the
Okanogan National Forest during the period of January 2000 to September
2001. Project work may include work in landscape, site parking or
drainage, utilities, buildings, or special systems (i.e. Power
generation, lightning protection, etc.) with expected emphasis to be in
electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering. Interested and
qualified firms are invited to respond by submitting Standard Form 254.
Standard form 255 may be requested for specific projects at a later
date. The evaluation criteria for this project (in descending order)
include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of the required services. 2) Specialized experience and
technical competence in the type of work required including, where
appropriate, experience in energy conservation, pollution prevention,
waste reduction, and the use of recovered materials. 3) Capacity to
accomplish the work in the required time. 4) Past performance on
contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of
cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance
schedules. 5) Location in the general geographical area and knowledge
of the project locality; provided, that the application of this
criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the
nature and size of the project. 6) The volume and nature of any present
project work being performed as it relates to the work for an added
project. 7)Additional points may be assigned or credit given to
potential contractors that are or will subcontract to firms fulfilling
#6 criterion until the Forest Service unit has met its small business
goals. All responsible sources submitting responses to the Contracting
Officer will be considered. Responses will be accepted through January
