has a requirement for grounds maintenance at its Cincinnati, OH
facilities. EPA intends to use a performance based statement of work as
a means to obtain these services under a firm fixed price contract. The
grounds maintenance services will be performed at the following EPA
Cincinnati, OH locations: A.W. Briedenbach Environmental Research
Center, 26 W. Martin L. King Drive (approximately ten acres); Center
Hill Facility, 5995 Center Hill Road (approximately five acres); and
Test & Evaluation Facility, 1600 Gest Street (approximately one-third
acre). The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment,
and materials necessary to perform the ground maintenance services
specified in the contract statement of work. The Government will
furnish facility maps and drawings which will show the location and
approximate acreage of the grounds. Grounds maintenance services will
consist of: grass mowing, edging, weeding, and trimming; tree and shrub
pruning, trimming and shaping; periodic liming and fertilizing;
mulching of shrub beds, flower beds and trees; weed control; raking;
removal of leaves, grass clippings, debris, and litter from site. This
award will be 100% set-aside for small business under the Standard
Industrial Classification Code, 0782, which has a size standard of $5
million. Information to allow prospective offerors a site visit will be
announced in the solicitation. U.S. EPA intends to award a firm fixed
price contract. The base period of the contract will be from contract
award (anticipated to be 02/01/00) through 09/30/00. The contract will
contain options for three (3) additional 12 month performance periods.
The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about December 28, 1999,
with responses due on or about January 18, 2000. Request for Proposal
