This notice constitutes amendment #2 to the combined snyopsis/RFQ for the Documentary History on the Development of Supersonic Aerodynamics in the NACA/NASA. The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions that we received in reference to Solicitation Number 02455. 1. Might NASA consider a film documentary series about the history of space exploration which could include the development of supersonic aerodynamics? No. This procurement is for a manuscript. 2. In the solicitation it refers to utilizing 200-300 documents. Are the titles of these documents already known? Or are we being asked to determine and locate approximately 200-300 significant documents as part of the research? No, the titles of these documents are not known. Yes, as part of this procurement you are to determine and locate the approximate 200 to 300 significant documents as part of the research. 3. The solicitation says: "Delivery shall be FOB Destination." "Include in your quotation the solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, " I'm not familiar with the term FOB. I looked it up in the FARs and I understand it means that we would be responsible for the shipping. In the second sentence I do not understand what "Include in your solicitation ...FOB destination to this Center" means. Could you give a specific example? Free On Board (FOB) Destination means you must include shipping costs to the required destination in your proposal. 4. How do we bid? The instructions are stated in the solicitation. 5. When is the bidding deadline? As stated in the solicitation, the proposals are due by 3:00 p.m., December 17, 1999. 6. What processes of registration or qualification do we have to go through in order to bid for this project? Submit a proposal in accordance with the solicitation.
